Paleo Protein Power Balls

Having three sisters, I’m pretty sure between the four of us we have tried just about every diet in the book. Paleo however, seems to stick around. My sister made these power balls the other day, and after devouring the ten she gave me in two days, I decided to get the recipe and make it myself. These power balls are full of protein and the perfect pre and post workout snack. Warning: they contain chia seeds so do not eat after you have recently had your wisdom teeth pulled. Obviously not speaking from experience or anything….

Paleo Protein Power Balls

Ingredients:

1 cup oats (leave these out if you are full 100% paleo)

1/2 cup sunflower butter

1 banana, smashed

1/4 cup protein powder (I used vanilla, but chocolate would be great too!)

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Roll into small balls. Store in the refrigerator.
